On. the day of the departure of the Hon. W. Downie Stewart, the New Zealand R.S.A. sent the following message to him: —"Hon. W. Downie Stewart, Wellington. N.Z. Returned • Soldiers' Association wishes you bon voyage and complete restoration of your health. (Sgd.), H. Stewart, Dominion President." The Hon. Minister is a returned soldier, and an active member of the Dunedin R.S.A., and has been continually interested in the doings of the organisation. He paid a visit to the last Dominion Council meeting of the Association,' held in Christchurch in June last year. The following reply to the above message was fcceived by the Association:—'' Colonel H. Stewart, Dominion President, Returned Soldiers' Association, Wellington.^—Sincerely thank. New. Zealand Returned .Soldiers' Association for their good wishes, which are much appreciated. . (Sgd.) W. Downie Stewart.".
