The ".Daily Express" Berlin corre spondent states that a wealthy manu facturer named Ophuvsen ended ar illicit love affair by driving a motor car containing his wife and two daugh ters full speed into a river wall. A] were drowned, except a daughter agec eight. The girl with whom Opuhysen ha promised to go to America endeavoHrrec to commit suicide when she heard o the tragedy, and was arrested. A Sydney cable message announce: the death of the Rev. Nicholas Jdhn Cocks, a prominent Congregational minister. The inquest on the remains of the London typist, Elsie Cameron, whose body was found on the poultry farm ol her fiance Norman Thorn, was opened at Crowborough. After the girl's faflher had identified the body, the Coroner, at the request of the police, granted a long adjournment. The three men who were detainee in connexion with the leakage of secrets at the natval dockyard at Portsmouth, have been released. The two othei men appeared at Bow street Police Court and were reminded. A woman who was arrested at the same time! has also* been released.
