ADMIRALTY'S REQUEST. RESTORATION OF PREVIOUS PROGRAMME. (b; cable—rsßss association—copybioht) ("ABOUS.") (Received January 21st, 8.45 p.m.) LONDON, January 21.
The "Daily Express" says that the Admiralty is pressing the Government to lay down four now cruisers this year, including three omitted by the Labour Government from the previous Conservative Government's programme of eight during 1924. of which, the Labour Administration only laid down Eve.
The Admiralty is also asking for the restoration of the programme of auxiliary craft, completely scrapped by thfc Labour Government, including three submarines, two gunboats, an aircraft carrier, and minelayer.
