Tho pupils of the rinkenba State School, near Brisbane, have becu restored to their classrooms after having been driven out by starlings. The schoolrooms had to be sealed up and the entire building fumigated, as sparrows' nests above the ceilings had been taken possession of by the starlings, and so many young sparrow-s had been killed by tho usurpers as to make the atmosphere obnoxious.
