SUN KILLED IN DUNEDIX.

(rMSS ASSOCIATION - TELEGBAU.) DUNEDLN", December 24. A man. who was killed allegedly in an affnty in Cumberland street last night, has been identified as John James Ryan, aged 53 years, single, who had been .working ou public works in various parts of Otago during the past twelve yeaxs.

This morning two brothers. Albert Norman Sutherland, 23, and Phillip Gordon Sutherland, 21, were charged at the Court with fighting each otht-i m the street, and the police, in asking for a remand, stated that at least one of them was alleged to have been engaged in the affair which resulted in Ryan's death. Both men were remanded without bail till Saturday. The inquest into the death of Byan was opened and adjourned.
