TRADE UNIONS PERTURBED PRESIDENT URGES ATTACK ON CAPITALISM. (by CABI.K-rr.KSS ASSOCIATION"—COPIRIGHTI (ArSTEALUK AXD 5.7.. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, December 21. The Trades Union delegates who havo returned from their visit to Russia declined to be interviewed, pending the earlv issue of a joint official statemet- •. 'l.lO '"Daily Telegraph" points out that it is significant that no member of tho Parliamentary Labour Party welcomed their return. 0 Tho Trades Union Congress is perturbed at, the speeches made in Russia by its president, Mr A. A. Purcell. The Congress does not recognise the Third Internationale. Thus an embarrassing position has arisen. Mr Purcell, en route for home, at Berlin issued a world-wide manifesto urging that the working class should organise an attack on capitalism, as this would be moro likely to sueeeed than tho old-timo methods of compromise and stagnation. Mr Ben Tillott declared that Russia's example must bo followed by all true democracies.
