CASUALTIES.
(special TO "the PRESS.") BLENHEIM, December 21. Thomas Erazer Thompson, who was found drowned, in the Omaka river this morning, was for many years engineer to the Buller County Council. Since retiring, a few years ago, he had resided at Greytown, but was on a visit to his daughter, Mrs C. E. Butcher. His other children are Mr J. S. Thompson, solicitor of Greytown, Mr Sinclair Thompson, farmer of the Greytown district, and Miss Ivy Thompson, member of the staff of lona College, Havelock North. He was about 80 ■ years of age, and his health had been very unsatisfactory. .
