A STORM OF PROTEST.

AUCKLAND'S HEAVY TRAFFIC BY-LAW. (PHESS ASSOCIATION TELIJoRAM.) ~ AUCKLAND, December 21. The statement of the Major of Auckland that the revised heavy traffic bylaw, which is to come into effect at the New Year, would include private cars as well as commercial vehicles, has aroused a general storm of indignation among heavy ear-owners and importers. The general opinion is that the new by-law is iniquitous, unreasonable, and absurd. A meeting of the executive of the Auckland Automobile Association is to be called to consider the matter.
