FIRES.
At, 3.48 a.m. yesterday, the Fire Brigade received a call to the corner of Colombo street and Peterborough street, wliere a fire had occurred in a shop occupied by Miss Margaret Sullivan. The premises were gutted and the stock deitroyed, but the two adjoining shops in the 'same wooden two-storey building were saved. The block of three, shops was owned by Mr A. It. Blank,- of Glandovey road, Fendalton, and it was insured in the British Traders' Office for £650. The stock was insured in, the Bou the rn' Union Office for £IOO.
