Miss Wenmoth was also privileged to visit one of the latest schools—a junior high school—which she said was the last word in education facilities. She expects to be home early in January. War Memorial. A start has been made with tho foundation of tho memorial, and. the contractor, Mr Sylvester, hopes to proceed with the erection of the etone after the holidays. Bowling. i It is understood that a teem of bowlers from the Heathcote Club is going" to a tour of <the West Coast during* tho holidays. School Picnic. A deputation from the School Committee waited upon the Opawa Schbol' Committee in reference to the school picnic, and the date was fixed for Friday, February Sth.
