The Waikuku Methodist Sunday School anniversary service's were continued on Thursday evening. There was special singing by the children, assisted by the choir. The programme included: Hymn; recitation, Jean Ivory; duet, Lynda Maddison and Margaret Orchard; recitation, _ Gwen 'Morgan; solo, Mrs Rout; recitation, Leslie llohb; quartette, Lynda Maddison, Ada Robb. Betty Maddison, Margaret Orchard; address, Rev. C. Blair; recitation, Cathie McMillan; solo, GAven Morgan; recitation, Margaret Orchard; solo. Mr Tull; address, the Rev. F. E. Foot; hymn; solo, Lynda Maddison: renort- by Mr Tull, Sunday School Superintendant; hymn. The prizes were distributed by the teachers. Supper wa9 handed round- at the conclusion. Barrett (Wellington) (piano) and the Habgood Trio (Balcdirn). Musical items were contributed by the Tuahiwi String Band, of a. pianoforte duet, the "Qui Vive, played by Miss Guy and Mr Barrett. Competitions were won by Miss W. S'olomon, Messrs E, MiHer, flj. Croft, and A. Cosgrove. A dainty supper was served. At the conclusion of the evening Mr J. Nihoniho, 011 behalf of the guests, thanked tlie hostess for the enjoyable time spent. Mr W. Cosgrove acted as M.C.

HORNBY-ISLINGTON. ' The Islington 1 Welfare Committee held its euchre tournament in the Islington Social Hall, this being the last till after'the New Year. The prizes were awarded as follow: —Ladies; Miss Mvrtle Ivingsford • (box handkerchiels), 1; Mrs W.
