MORE PROFITABLE THAN RETAIL
Comparisons made at regular .intervals since the inception of the city s electricity supply, between tho number of consumers and the cost of electricity, irrefutably demonstrate that the bigger the concern l>ecomes the more nearly wholesale the supply is made. Following on ..this stag© are more favourable rates for current, and the proposed loan is the means whereby electricity may be developed in all the ways in which it bears direct relationship to progress, both industrial and commercial.
On December 4th it rests with you to decide whether the electricity supply is to be placed on a wholesale basis, thereby ranking Christchurch among the foremost of the cities in the Dominion in electrical development. The fact of making electricity available for the hundreds of consumers awaiting supply will be in keeping with the ''goaheacF' spirit which prompts citizens to support a measure, the sanctioning of which, on Thursday. Decemter 4th, will carry untold benefits to all. —o
