CHRISTMAS FAIR.

SYDENHAM BAPTIST CHURCH. A three-day Christmaß Fair waa opened at the Colombo etreet Baptist Church, Sydenham, yesterday afternoon. It will be open from 3 p.m. to .10 p.m. to-day and tomorrow. The Mayor, Mr J. A. Flceher, declared the fete open yesterday in the presence of a large gathering. He congratulated the Rev. J. K. Archer and his. parishioner® on the headway they had made, and expressed a wish that the fair might be most successful. A hearty vote pf thanks was accoided tne Mayor and the Mayoress, who was also m attendance. . The object of the fair is to raise funds for a church to be erected in front of the new Sunday School. The echoolroom. and ( a marquee are lined with stalls o! every] description, and there are side-«hows and competitions to suit all tastes. The esecutive of the Fair is: Rev. J. K.
