PICTURE HOUSES. GRAND THEATRE. Pictures of prime qualiiv are provided at the Grand Theatre. ' D. W. Griffith, master producer, was responsible for "One Exciting Night," the main attraction. For once Griffith, who has made liis great reputation as a producer of spectacular scenes, has followed up another track, „ Two of the most popular artists featured in "Caught in the Cabaret, & now issue of a favourite comedy. They are the one and only Charlie Chaplin and the charming' Mabel GREATER CRYSTAL PALACE. tl A railroad story of breathless interest- is 'The Signal Tower," at Greater Crystal Palace. _ Included in the supporting programme 13 a fine Metro production, "Your Fnend _ and Mine." It stars the famous Australian actress, Enid Bennett, and deals splendidly with an exceedingly delicate subject. "The Shooting Star,'" the eleventh chapter of "The Fast Express," a Century oomedy and the latest International News film complete the picture programme. An excellent musical programme is supplied by tho Greater Crystal Palace Orchestra. LIBERTY THEATRE. All amazingly fine picture is "Beau Brum--mel," the main attraction at the Liberty Theatre. The theme tells of "the love of the Beau right from the time of his insignificance, through his successful conquest of the Court of his patron, till the -time of his death. Despite his other amorous adventures he is consistent but there lies a tragedy in his love of which none but a Barrymore could make advantage. In support is shown an amusing comedy-drama entitled "The Cradle Buster." STRAND THEATRE. "The Law Forbids," an unusual drama featuring Baby Peggy, is the headliner at the Strand Theatre. Paul Remsen, a playwright and his wife, Rhoda, become estranged and seek a divorce. In an amazing wav a reconciliation js brought about. The climax is gripping and unusual. The supports are Hoot Gibson in ' Hook and Ladder," "The Ghost City" (episode 9), "Quit Kidding'' (Buddy Messinger comedy), and the International News. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. Thomas H. Ince, the famous producer, was responsible for "Those "Who Dance," a First National masterpiece now at Everybody's Theatre. There aro thrills in abundance and Blanche Sweet, recently applauded for her fine work in "Anne Christie."' plavs a leading role. "Going East," a Lloyd Hamilton comedy, "Boughest Africa," a travelogue burlesque, and "New Old England" are films supporting the big attraction. A delightful musical treat is supplied by the "Select" Orchestra, which plays an admirable programme - of well-selected music. QUEEN'S THEATRE. "The Moral Sinner," a throbbing story, stars Dorothy Dalton. Paramount has spared no expense to make this one of the big attractions of the year. It is filled with dramatic adventure, thrills, and swift action, and the theme is novel. "Half-a-Dollar Bill" is a fine sea story, with a refreshingly original plot. The story tells of the finding of an abandoned baby by a sea captain and his cook. "Not "Wanted/' a remarkably funny comedy, a Burton Holmes Travelogue, and the latest Paramount Gazette are among the supports. -
