A children's social was held in Church Hall last evening to welcome | the Rev. T. W. Armour, the new minis- i ter of the church. It was given by the Knorc Baud of Hope, the Knox Sunday School, and the Fulton avenue Sunday School. The minister was given a cordial welcome oil behalf of the different organisations'by Mr W. Goss, who presided, by Mr A. McKenzie, superintendent of the Fulton avenue Sunday School, and by Mr D. Davidson, representing the Band of Hope. Mr Armour thanked the teachers and the young people for their kind entertainment and reception to himself and Mrs Armour.
