There has been much. controversy of late concerning the advisability of fitting coastal vessels with wireless, tho question being given considerable publicity at the timo of the loss of tho Richardson steamer ltipple. It was recently decided by tho Northern Steamship Company to equip eft-tain of their vessels, wlioso runs take them some distance from the coastline,. with radio sets, and it is understood that tho work will bo carried out early nest month.
