FOOTBALL.
LEAGUE. The new grounds aoquired by the Can--terfeiny Rugby Football Xieagne are at present in excellent condition, the playing area disclosing a fine strike of grass. Good progress has been made during recent Saturday afternoons by enthusiasts ill clearing scrub end weeds, round the outer area adjoining the main load. The Board of Control has called for tenders fflr the erection of the front fence and entrance gates. The grounds will be known as Monica Park, and the president. Dr. Thackcr, has convened a meeting of all members, players, and supporters for Saturday evening, at the Y.M-C.A., to organise a carnival to Taise funds for building dressing-rooms and stands.
