WEATHER CAUSES POSTPONEMENT. ' The annual sports of the Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, wore commenced on Saturday morning, but the rain , which fell iu tho afternoon caused a. postponement until next Saturday. Hunter Weston in an exhibition jump reached 20ft 3in--220 Yards Open—T. A. Brown 1, H. Houghton 2, G. Calder 3. Timo, 25sec. Throwing the Crick«t Ball—H. M. Wellfi <loyds) 1, J. C. Jones (25yds) 2; distance, 103 yds. Half-Mile Handicap—B- r - Thomae (50yds) 1, E. Miller (35yds) 2. Time, 2min lOsec. One Mile Open—T. Scllwood 1, H. Houghton and R. Calder, oqual, 2.
