OPERATIONS RESUMED. . (SPKCIAL TO- "th* P£x«B.'') WELIjIXCtTOJC, October IS. No time lias been lost by the Post-master-General (tbe Hon. J. G. Coates) in putting into execution the intention to take tip the cudgels against tbe Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd., in regard to broadcasting. Some days ago> the - Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd., intimated that it intended to take action against broadcasting firms for infringements of rights if they continued broadcasting. Following on this ultimatum tho Government put through 'an amendment of tho Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, authorising the broadcasters to continue their operations as agents of tbe Crown. To-day tbe* Postmaster-General informed a reporter that all broadcasting firms bad been informed that they could resume -broadcasting as from tonight. As agents of tbe Crown, they now liad full authority to carry on their activities as heretofore.'
