PERSIA THREATENED WITH CIVIL WAR.
TEHERAN, October 15. The Persian Parliament has replied to a- recent telegram from the Kh*>ik Mohammerah, stating that he did not intend to recognise the Parliament, by sending an army, some thousands strong, against him. The Sheik has been showing a defiant attitude to the Central Government for some months, and relations hare been strained. The Sheik is known to hare an army behind* him, and civil war seems certain, but in some quarters there is hope of an amicable settlement.
