WAIBEWA. ■ The Wairewa,. County • Council met «t Little River' on Monday. rfecent-Crs. F. Coop (chairman), Parkinson, Barclay, Bichards, AYhite, and Chapman; An apology for absence was received from Cr J: 0. Coop. A vote of sympathy was accorded Cr. H. Chapmai in tho death of his wife, members standing. The foreman was authorised- to prevent any persona using drag chains on'any of the Council's roads. It-wis loft in tho hands of Crs. Chapman, Whito, and the foreman' to dispose of three hcrscs. Messrs J. Parkinson, Gardiner, and Brown waiMl on the CouncU iu reference .to Irvine's road, at Ka-ituna. It was decided to have repairs effected.It was agreed .to prohibit the posting of bills on the pound fence. The foreman was. instructed to remove trees overhanging' the main roao\ It was decided to dispense with the services of- four employees. It was left in the chairman's hands to seo the various members of other local bodies regarding a roller,' and report to next meeting. It was agreed to invite Mr Bruco to attend the next Council meeting and address the member on the main highway scheme. After a ballot tho tender of W. Newton at i'2s par annum was accepted for the grazing rights of a. paddock. It was decided to invite tho Health officer to. inspect tho water supply for the housing scheme. It was left in the chairman's hands to tee about a crusher. It was resolved that the Doraain Board be caked to appoint a committee to look after tho eccnio reserves in the county. Tho plana of the proposed hospital. were approved. . .
