Pastoralists in ths north-west corner of West Australia are agitating their State Government for the removal of the royaltv on kangaroo skins, watch ig a deterrent to hunting them. It is pointed ont that there are now twice as many kangaroos as sheep, owing to the increase of marsupials under the protee* tion of the royalty. Thirty or forty rears ago there were no kangaroos to be seen in the districts where they are now a menace to the pastoral industry.
