RIMUTAKA DEVIATION.
(JT*BSS ASSOCIATIOS TXLBGajLM.) MAST.ER.TON, October 14. At a mooting last night, representative of tho whole of tho Wairarapa., a vigorous protest was made against the postponement of the Himut&ka deviation. The following motion was carried: — "This meeting, fully rcprcsentatrro of the whole of the Wairarapa district, emphatica3ly enters its protest against tihe postponement of the EimutaJca deviation for a, period of five years, and declares that th© national im-port-a,nce of tho project calls for the early commencement of the work." A deputation was appointed to wait upon the Minister in support of the resolution.
