THE RADIUM PURCHASE.
"PRESS" READERS' SUBSCRIPTIONS. A very good response has been, made by tho public to the Hospital Board's appeal for funds to. make up the amount required to pay for the radium which is to be used at the Hospital in the treatment of cancer. The Board has received some large gifts of money from generous enthusiasts who have remained anonymous. We are asking our readers, who have never been backward in responding to our appeals for the support of good objects, to assist the Radium Fund. We have collected to date £lsl 15s. and we shall be glad to receive, and to acknowledge here, all further sums, large or small, which our readers may send to us.
