NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board, held on the Ist day of September, 1924, it waa resolved to make a Special Order making the following by-laws pursuant to Section 30 of "Tiie Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1920"; 3to.—No person other than an officer of the Board shall enter or attempt to enter or at any terminus be in or remain in any car during tho course of ' any shunting operations affecting such car. . 29b.—No person other than an officer of tho Board shall at' any terminus enter or. attempt to enter any car until such car shall reach the stopping place from time to time fixed by the Board for the entry of passengera. 29c.—Where in Cathedral square any stopping plaeo is from ume to time fixed by the Board ae the terminus of the trip of any oar, every passenger to Cathedral square on such car shall leavo tho car at such stopping place, and no person other than an employee of- the Board shall enter or attempt to enter euch car until it has reached the stopping place fixed by the Board' as the commencing point of its next trip. 47 A .—No person shall take into or upon any car any baby-carriage or pushcart unless the same shall have been first folded and securely fastened in the folded position by or on behalf of such person. PROPOSAL TO RAISE A SPECIAL LOAN UNDEST "THE LOCAL _ BODIES' LOANS ACT, 1913." PURSUANT to Section 9 of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," it is hereby publicly notified that the Rangiora. Borough Council desires to obtain the consent of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Rangiora to raise a Special x>oan under "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.'' (a) The Special Loan is required .for the erection of a Town Hall, Library and Reading Room, and the furnishing oi same. (b) Tie stun proposed to be borrowed is Eight Thousand Pounds (£8000). (c) Such sum to be raised and the repayment thereof and the interest secured by tho issue of Debentures bearing interest at a rate not exceeding 5i per cent, per annum and a Sinking Fund of £1 per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, such Debentures to have a currency of 20 years from the date of issue. Tha security for the repayment of the said Debentares shall be the said undertaking and also a Special Rata on tha whole of the rateable property of the said Borough. (d) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan all preliminary expenses incurred in - connexion with the scheme for which tha loan is raised, "and the first year's interest and Sinking Fund of the Loan.
