TRAMWAY ELECTION.
CENTRAL SUB DISTRICT. CITIZEN ASSOCIATION'S NOMINEES. The following gentlemen have been selected by the Citizens' Association as thedr candidates for the central subdistrict representation on the Tramway Board:— Mr Geo. T. Booth. Mr J. A. Flesher, j Mr H. Pearce. Mr E. W. White. M. A. S. Taylor. Formerly the central sub-district returned four members, but as %h» outcome of the recommendations of the Boundaries Commission, the Bub= district of Linwood was added to the central sub-district, and the tion of the latter was increased to five. Mr H. Pearce is the present representative of the Linwood sub-district, and Messrs Booth, Flesber, Taylor, and Be&nl&nd are the representatives of the central sub-district. All these gentlemen are to be nominated again with the exception of Mr J, W. Bean land, who doeg not seek re-election, ancj whose place on the citizens' nomination list will bs filled by Mr E. W. White, a candidate new to local affaire, but well known in legal circles. All the candidates, with the exception of Mr J. A. Flesher, who is Mayor of Christehurch at present, hold no other puhiio office. Nominations of candidates for the Tramway Board l elose on November 13th, and the election will be held on November 27th.
