OPAWA BAPTIST CHURCH.
The members of the Opawa- Bapiist Mission met last night and decided to iorin an independent Baptist Church. The itev. J. K. Archer wm in the chair. The principle o£ open' membership was adopted, ana it was decided to ms&e application to the forthcoming Baptist conference for membership in the New Zealand Baptist Union. A public meeting and dedication ceremony followed, the chair being taken by the Kev. L. Barber. The Rev. J. J. North, in an address, outlined the responsibility tha» the parishioners had taken on themse-ves, ana urged them to do their utmost to make the new parish a success.
