Wyatt, Misses McBeth, Creswell, Sanders, Messrs A. K. Anderson, Woolf, T. H. Foster, Rev, A. H. Norris, Ideut.-Commanders Tebbs and Boyle, E.N., and Lieut-. H. Anderson, R.N. The secretary reported that the preparation of the illuminated, address for the Governor-General, Viscount Jellicoe, was now well in hand. A number of pictures for inclusion in the presentation portfolio had also come to hand. The Chnatchuroh branch picture was of Mount Cook with "Lake Pukaki in the foreground. It had W by Mr Menzies Gibb. It had been arranged, he said, that the preaentation ceremony should take m Jellicoe Hall on October 17th. at 4.30. p.m The secretary also submitted a report the tiregress being madß m oonnexion th October 24th, and the „„u hadees thereon. He eaid a senes of socials was being held for the ladies who were prepared to cell badges on that ocoafliort. , . , , The statement of receipts and expenses showed a credit balance on the current account of £ll4 19s. . The appointment of judges for the essay competition was left in the hands of tha chairman and the secretary. "Mr C J. Trel«aven reported that 119 unities and school branches had been Mk- , to contribute a. wreath or other floral .jj-m on Nelson Day, October Slat, was decided to write to the Mayors of Christchurch, Sumner, Lyttelton, and ■v«w Rriehton asking. them to request citizens to hoist flags on Nelson Day.
