ST. ALBANS SCHOOL CONCERT.

A very successful concert was held in the St. Matthaw's echoolroom on Thursday night in aid of the school prize fund and school fair to bo held in October. The hell was filled to overflowing* with a very enthusiastic audience, and all tho items were well received. The first fart of tho programme was contributed by the school children, who had been very carefully trained by Miss Burn and Mr Tindall, assisted by Miss McDonald and Miss Kennedy. The following also contributed to th« programme i —Miss Sheclah Chapman (dance), Miss Ruby Clark and pupils, ragtime dance; Miss Kennedy, violin solo; Mia Sta.Uajd t song; Miss Gertie Hillsdon, club swinging; Master Dick Woodwud, humorous recitation; Mr Laurie Campbell, song; Mr Leslie Dally, song. A name-guessing competition i for a beautifully dressed' doll was won by i Miss Suckling.
