Drawing Room Afternoon. In connexion with the visit to Ashburton of Miss Enshatv, the organiser of the W.C.T.U., Mrs W. Oakley gave a drawing room afternoon yesterday at her residence, West Belt. There was quite a large gathering of members of the W.C.T.U., and Mrs W. Robinson presided. Addresses were given by Miss Enshaw and Mr W. R. Mackesy (district organiser of the No License Council). Afternoon tea was dispensed. Four new members were elected. Musical items were given by Misses B. Oakley, Garder, and Mrs W. R. Mackesy, while Mrs A. Williams played the pianoforte solos and the accompaniments.
