The Spanish war in Morocco is entering a new phase. The withdrawal of garrisons from outlying Spanish posts, which is now occurring, indicates that the Marquis do Stella is concentrating all his available forces in Tetuan for the purpose of striking a crushing blow on the" enemy. It is expected that several columns, amounting in all to 40,000 men, will be employed. The most important objective will be the relief of Sheshuan, situated 40 mile's south of Tetuan, from which it is at present isolated.
"BRILLIANT BAYONET CHARGE." (bedtbb's tblegbaus.) (Eeceived September 16th, 11.45 p.m.) MADEID, September 15. An official communique announces the evacuation of six Spanish positions on the Wadlau line in Morocco, including Cobbadarsan.
A supply column for Kalaa attained its objective after a brilliant bayonet charge.
ABANDONMENT NOT PROPOSED. U»Y CABLE—PBES3 ASSOCIATION—COPTBIGHT) (BEUTES'B TELKOEAMS.) PARIS, September 15. News from Madrid is that the situation in the western zone of Morocco shows an improvement. The road between Ceuta and Tetuan has been cleared of rebels.
The Military Directory does not intend to abandon Spain's rights in Morocco, but proposes merely to reduce the number of positions held.
