In connexion with the stranding of the cruiser Brisbane on a reef near Port Moresby on July 22nd, s courtmartial considered a charge of negligence or default against the commander, Captain Danby. The question was whether a proper look-out had been kept. The Court found the charge not proven, and dismissed it.
