(PSBSS ABSOCUTION TUMGBAM.) BLENHEIM, August 15. There was some excitement at Renwick when dense clouds of smoke were seen issuing from the schoolhouse, and a cry of "Fire!" went round. Smoke was rising in all directions between the walls, and- it took a long time to locate the outbreak, which was finally discovered to be confined to a ventilii-. tioa pipe which luid been stuffed lull of-paper and rubbish. No damage was done by fire, but the school was somewhat knocked about in the endeavours to locate the outbreak. It is stated that rubbish had been deliberately placed in the pipe. AH the indications, pointed to an attempt to burn thei school down.
