MISHAP TO TRAIN.

(PBES3 ASSOCIATION TXUKtSAIIS.) WOODVILLE, August 15. The train from Palmerston North, arriving at Woodville at 8 a.m., ran into a slip coming out of the tunnel in the gorge. ; The engine hit a boulder and was derailed. Four trucks also are off the line. The carriages pulled up in the tunnel. Of the twelve passengers on board, no one was hurt., A chain; of the track has been damaged, but probably will be open- -this afternoon. Traffic- is held up in the meantime. The gorge road also is closed. PALMERSTON NOETH, August 15. The Manawatu Gorge railway was cleared before noon, and trains are again running. The mail, trains are expected to maintain schedule time.
