AMURI POLO CLUB'S BALL.
The Amuri Polo Club's reputation for hospitality was increased on Thursday night when, under its auspices, a splendidly successful ball was held at Culverden. The members of the ladies' committee, Mesdames Marmaduke Bethell, Leslie Maciarlane, Godfrey Rutherford, Roger Gould, Martin, George Reid, and Leslie Jameson, deserved in full measure, the genuine praise showered upon them during the evening, for the excellence of their arrangements, which were complete in every detail. The hall was beautifully decorated in yellow and gold, the colours of the dub, while baskete of greenery and softly shaded lights completed a pleasing effect. The music was supplied by Bailey's Band. Her Excellency Lady Jellicoe was present, wearing a handsome gown of black satin, with an overdress of black sequined net. draped to one side. She was accompanied By Mrs Slarmaduke Bethell. whose frock of silver tissue was trimmed with ostrich feathers.
