The usual monthly meeting of the TVharomii School Committee waa held laat week. present—iloears 'T. Stephenson (chairman), T. M, Ford, C. Barrell, C. Buckott, D. bwajiutou, and J, Singleton. Apoiogi&s woru received from Messrs A. Fisher, A. Staunton, and S. F. Tvilaon. Mr Buckett reported that arrangements wero ttcH in hand tor the concert on August 2nd. Mr Swanston km thanked for giving » tank for the rubbish. It ivae reported that the work authorised to be done had been completed, A letter was read .from the Education Board stating that tho Department -was of opinion that the present headmaster's office would do for a Medical Room, but that tho Department waa not prepared to mstfce grants for tho medical inspection of chdldrory The maitter (of providing f, teachers room would be considered when additions were being mado to tho school. Mr Barrell's oger to provido a couch the headmaster's room to bo used in caso of sickness or accident *« accepted with thanks. It waa unanimously decided to grant him leave of absence and also to congratulate him on tho i honour he had attained as Now Zealand delegate to the International Board of Control.
