A NARROW ESCAPE.

ASSOCIATION lILXOIiK.) DUNEDIiX, July 17. Yesterday afternoon, a Maori Hill electric car, fully laden, left the rails and ploughed its way through t e roadway for about 50 feet, just ing overturning. It- is surmised tna the motorman lost control car through the trolley-pole being removed from the overhead wire. The suggestion has been made that the pole was removed from the wire by a party students who were taking part in « students' capping ceremony and wno were also travelling on the car. The police have made enquiries, but apparently elicited little to substan irate such a serious charge.
