RADIO SOCIETY.
Thero vres a large attendance of wireless enthusiasts at the Y.M.C.A. la*t night, when Mr h. Slade, assisted by Messrs I». Ball and H P- V. Brown, under tho auspices of the Christchurch Radio Society, gave a Ifcture demonstration on valve turning an« interference. The lecturer dealt fully with the subject ox interference from both the transmitter's and the listener's viewpoint, and oontended that it was possible for an operator to "tune out" all stations other than the one with which he wished to communicate. A demonstration of the elimination of "howling" was given on the Bet installed lor tho purpose, and it was shown that it was possible to transmit from the hall while Gisborne (2YM) .was broadcasting. The lecture was further illustrated by blackboard diagrams, and the evening proved highly "interesting. -
