AUCTIONS. H. MATSON AND 00. H. MATSON AND CO. ADDINGTON MARKET REPORT. PAT CATTLE. The yarding of beef to-day comprised about 520 head of cattle, of which our entry was 120: Fully 130 cattle -from the North Island "were distributed throughout the market. The quality all round was of fair average, there being a good proportion of primes, a fair percentage of oojuaegrained cattle and the usual 33 per cent, of unfinished cattle and rough nondescript exhibited. _ Excellent consignment# from Banks Penintula and the Amnri were yarded, all consignments - showing good finish and from a standard fatteners -were "Belling consistently throughout. Prime light wad medium weight bullock beef cold from 33s to 369 6d and in a, fevr cases of prime handy-weights of excellent finish up to 40s ■was touched. Prime heavy beef aold from 31s to 81s, and occasionally higher. AH weights of beef that might come under the heading of general Average sold from 36s to 30s. Many consignments of rough cattle, aged cattle and cattle showing lack of £nish or lota that were wasting aold most, irregularly at anywhere from 22s to 265. Prime heifer beef sold from 80s to 355. Light and medium weight heifers and best cows sold from 27s to 30s, and plain and useful from 203 to 245, with packers even lower. A very choioe consignment sent in from lisali6 Hills, Amuri, oSered by us, reached £lB 17s 6d for & nice pen of steers, which price topped the market.
