The clerk submitted a statement of the estimated leceiplß and cxpeiidituie lor the current year. The laticr approximated £2527, and the former £1270. A r-ite of 3-7 d in the £ would produce £'2-287, and a ja rale £2070. Oil the motion of Air Vogan, it was decided t-o strike the former rate. Considerable discussion took place regarding the state of the road from Barry's jJay to Wainui. It wa.; decided that Immediite attention be given to the road, aad that an extra man be employed to knap more metal at Barry'B Bay. It was reported that considerable damnge had been done to the French Farm Vailey road by the Council's crusher piant. The chairman and Mr Yogan were deputed to interview the County Council with respect to the damage done In reference to the Stoney Bay road improvements, it was reeo ved to make application for the Government subsidy on the £l3O required to complete the work.
