PARIS, July S. Mr Mac Donald had a most cordial reception. The station was densely crowded, and the route to the Embassy lined with spectators, cheering and shouting, "Good old Ramsav! " Vive Mac Donald!"

The Premiers conferred for three hours, after which Mr Mac Donald informed interviewers, "We are right in the middle of things."

Prior to his departure for Paris, Mr Mac Donald said that the visit must be taken as an indication of his desire to see a settlement of Anglo-French relations and to remove all misunderstanding.

This desire was more particularly apparent in view of the fact that ho is suffering from severe bronchitis.

The duration of the visit will depend on the circumstances, but he hope 3 to return by Thursday.
