Tho early part of the evening was devoted to the continuance and conclusion of the debate cn tho Prison Life Refoim Bill which secured an easy second reading in spite of the opposition and derision of the gentlemen oh the "Treasurv Benches." Nest carii-e the Infants Welfare Bill, a Government measure which threatened to do dreadful things in tho matter of whittling down- the juvenile attendance at the picture shows. This proved altogether too. big* a pill for tho Opposition to swallovy, and their disapproval was evidenced when the no-con-fidence motion, moved by Mr Machm oii behalf of tho "Liberal" Opposition, found a prompt seconder ia the leader of the "Labour" Opposition.
