VA Dunedin remit providing for the delivery of lectures- where desired by iepibera, country members to be given i?ery facility in order that they may ittend, was agreed to. \K Wellington proposal that railway icers should receive similar treatment iifhat enjoyed by officers of other 's&.■ Departments in connexion with jiefstaff reports of controlling officers feved unanimous support, and it was decided to also agree'to a remit from the Executive Committee that the Department, be requested to notify the : MR of the qualifications necessary for MTancement from grade to grade and fo higher ■ positions in the district iSices. .
