The Clan Macmillan was three days out from Calcutta bound for Fiji. She carried no passengers and had a crow ' of about GO. t The chief port officer has received
no further news of the ship or boats. He points out that reports indicate that.there is fins weather in the area , in which Jihe ship sank. -* '\ The cause of the sinking remains un-' known.
[The steamer Leicestershire received , an S.O.S. from the Clan Macmillan, . stating thai she was sinking 30 miles eaft of Table Island, and 170 miles > from the Andamans. The Leicestershire 3teamed to the position indicated, but could find no trace of the Clan Macmillan, nor of her boats.]
