HOSPITAL FULL.
ACCIDENT CASES REFUSED. (by cable —press association copyright.) (AUSTRALIAN AND K.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) MELBOURNE, June 17. Owing to lack of accommodation victims cf accidents, in urgent need of attention, had to be refused admittance to the Melbourne Hospital on Saturday night. A large number was admitted during the day buffering from fractured limbs and other injuries, the floor space having to be continunlly used to accommodate patients. By 10 o'clock the euperinteiident issued orders that it was Impossible to receive any more male surgical cases. Among those turned away was a man with a fractured skull. [So great had the strain of attending to the exoessive number of patients at the Melbourne Hospital become at th.e end of last month, that the Medical Superintendent told the Board of Management that the only remedy he could suggest was to close the doors. , Ho thought this would be necessary. There were 360 nameß on the waiting list.]
