UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.
NEW ZEALANDERS AT EDINBURGH. (FROM OUR OWN CORKESPOtrtiEHT.) LONDON, May 6. Two New Zealand fre3hmen at Edinburgh University are Messrs L. Gibbs (son of ,Dr. H.' Gibbs, Wellington) end it. Hetherington (Thames). Both are old boys of Wditaki Higli School, and have had one year at Otago Mxdical School. At present they are not quite certain of ■ what their term's work will consist, as the authorities have not yet told them how much' of their New Zealand work will be accepted. Dr." R. F. T. Grace (Wellington) has lately gone back to Edinburgh to do post 1 graduate work. He returned to Now Zealand recently whither he went for respite before undertaking his present studies. , Dr H. K. Corkill (Wellington), who is still at St. Louis, U.S.A., uomj hospital work, is expected back m Edinburgh in W. Lang and Mr F. Wallace MacKenzie—both of Auckland—are preparing for their Finals, while Mr H. M. Shenkm (Auckland) is studying for his second professional examination, for which ho is due to sit in July, his subjects being Anatomy and Physiology. ■ Mr M.' Bassett (Chnstchurch) is well on in his fourth year. Messrs lan B. Bwart and A. L. Young (Wellington) are both working for their third 'professional examination in. Patholo"7 Materia Medica and Therapeutics. iir J H. McLean (Dunedin) is now doing 1 researcLwork at St. Mary's Hospital London. He was at Edinburgh until the end J. Kitchen (Wanganui) lately left Edinburgh for New Zealand, going out as ship's medioal officer. Another Edinbureh student who recently graduated is Mr E W. C. Jobson (Hawera).
