Imperial Conferences. McKenna Duties. Mr Baldwin's motion of censure uf the Government over tlio abolition of the McKenna duties was defeated. Barney Airships. It is reported that the Government has decided to adopt tho Burney airship scheme in a modified form. Harvest of Graft. The various United States enquiries are yielding revelations of outstanding corruptipn; and on top of tliis a Congressman has been, sent to gaol for breach of the Prohibition law, while secrets are being told of the inner workings of the Ku Klux Klan. Prance. M. Poincare will resign when the Chamber meets. For the time being the Chequers conference is off. The frane is slipping. Items. Melbourne tramwaymen are. still on strike. A special session of the Japanese Diet has been called for June 25th.
