BENEFIT CONCERT.
. The.' "House Full" sign ' was displayed before . the Greater-Crystal Palace * Theatre last: evening only a very short time after the doors were opened, the. occasion ' being a benefit concert in aid.of. the aged.poor and orphans of -Nazareth House and St.'Joseph's Home, Middleton; The concert was.s great success from all points of view, and the splendid programme submitted was -highly appreciated by .all those who were fortunato euoitjjh to gain admission. By the permission rof Sir. Benjamin and Mr J ohm Fuller Messrs MarehaJl Crosbie and Chas. Lawrence submitted a number of items, and: the following artists from .the,-"Sally" Company, by permission of - J. C. Williamson, Liu., also contributed selections;— Misses Laura- McLairie, Ad?!e Crane, . Flora Brodley, and Caroline Jurs> and Messrs Jack Dunne and Noel Allen. Local talent .was represented by Misses Joyce Staff,, Gladys .Vincent, Halmai Loughnan, Dor&thy Spiller, and Mr Laurence Robinson. The accompanists were Mesdames BurnesLoughnan and Middleton. Mr Frank McDonald carried out the duties' of stage manager very capably.
