LINSEED SILO BURSTS.

A linseed silo, about 75 feet high, at Meggitts-' linseed oil mills, Parramatta, collapsed and caused damage estimated at £IO,OOO. The .weight of the* linseed burst a wall, the debris bringing "down with it a huge chimney. The mass of linseed and the chimney fell with a deafening crash upon the boiler and refining building,, all of which were razed to the ground. A score of employees were working in the mill alongside the silo: Fortunately one man saw the wall crack and warned his mates, all of whom made a quick escape.
