LORD JELLICOE ON WEST COAST.

VISIT TO GLACIER TO-DAY,

GBEYMOUTH, March 13. The Governor-General departed for Hokitika to-day about midday, after spending-the morning in transacting business of a private nature. The Mayor and prominent citizens tendered him an informal farewell.

Lpoii arrival at Hokitika, the Gov-ernor-General was met by the Mayor J£* • A ; J er £ V L and the County Chairman (Mr T. W. Duff) and representative citizens. Later in the afternoon the Eimu dredge was visited Lady Jellicoe and the Hon. Lucy Jellicoe arrived from Chriatchureh this afternoon by the express and motored from Greymouth to Hokitika. The party will proceed to-morrow to the Franz Josef Glacier.
